Mosquito treatment cost 2026

A single yard mosquito spray typically costs $75–$300. A season program is usually $300–$900 for about 6–8 visits from late spring into early fall. Tick add-ons sit higher, often $550–$1,500.

Buy one spray for a weekend you will sit outside. Buy the route if the yard stays wet and you use it most of the summer. Typical US ranges, not a bid.

Mosquitoes and ticks identification and treatment cost

A single yard spray can be under $300. Season-long programs (roughly May–September) are the more common professional spend.

Dumping standing water and using personal repellents help. Yard-wide residual programs are harder to match with consumer products.

One spray is a party weekend. A season program is a route: someone comes back every few weeks because new adults keep coming out of water you did not dump, and because the spray on shrubs wears down.

Six one-off sprays at $150 each is $900. A season sticker in the $300–$900 band is that same calendar, prepaid. Run a written bid through the quote checker.

One spray vs the season

JobTypical US rangeWhat you are buying
Single yard treatment$75–$300One pass on shrubs, fence, deck underside, and shady edges
Full-season program$300–$900Usually 6–8 visits, May–September in much of the US
Tick + mosquito program$550–$1,500Same route, extra time in the leaf litter

A misting system is hardware, a tank, and a refill contract. That is a multi-thousand-dollar install. If the quote mixes those, split the paper.

Why they come back in three weeks

Published work on mosquito sprays on plants found the effect measured in weeks. Rain, sprinklers, and sun wear it down. Gulf yards after a wet week sit on the short end of that window.

CDC says dump, scrub, or cover water every week: birdbaths, clogged gutters, a tarp sag, the saucer under a pot, toys, buckets. The visit does not replace that. The neighbor’s neglected pool can restock your yard after a good spray. Adults rest in dark, humid spots: under patio furniture, under the deck, along the shrub line. A noon fog down the middle of a mowed lawn is a short show.

Ask what they will not spray (edibles, ponds, hives) and whether you need to stay indoors for a window after.

How many stops are on the paper

Covered months. How many visits. What an extra trip costs.

“Unlimited callbacks” on mosquitoes is a sales phrase. New adults fly in from the next yard. A fair plan names the visit count.

Mosquitoes are usually extra on a general monthly or quarterly house plan. Get that in writing.

A dry patio you use twice does not need a season route. A wet Gulf yard you live in from May to October will still get bitten after one party spray. Log bite weeks in the sighting log if you are checking whether the last visit did anything. See what is active this month on the seasonal calendar.
